John Machtinger
John Machtinger is the founder and principal attorney at Machtinger Law APC, a law firm helping accident and injury victims in Los Angeles, Orange County, and across Southern California recover significant compensation after suffering serious or catastrophic injuries or losing a loved one to wrongful death. Mr. Machtinger is a trial attorney representing people whose lives have been devastated by serious injuries or the wrongful death of their loved ones. For 19 years, Mr. Machtinger successfully represented a wide variety of clients in civil litigation, including complex cases against national law firms. He also served as a Deputy District Attorney (criminal prosecutor) with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and authored a widely-used legal treatise on California and federal firearms law.
In 2010, Mr. Machtinger joined Timothy Black to form Black & Machtinger LLP. Since that time and continuing through his own law firm Machtinger Law APC, he has exclusively represented plaintiffs in serious injury and wrongful death cases. Mr. Machtinger’s dedication to a small number of large cases allows him to devote significant time and effort to each client.
